UTSC Biology Student's Association (BioSA) held the annual Professor vs Students basketbal game on January 8th, 2019 at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

Cheerleaders were invited to cheer for the professors, graduate students; and of course undergraduate students! We congratulate Team Maroons (Professor/Graduate students) defeating Team Blue (Students) with a final score of 59:51.

BioSA represents all students in Biological Sciences programs at UTSC. The majority of events hosted by them are academically based such as talks, review sessions, seminars with scientists etc.

Holding a basketball game with Professors and TAs who usually sit in their office/ labs, or stand during lecture/ tutorials gives students the opportunity to explore a different side of them, and a chance to defeat them on the basketball court!

Apart from basketball bash between the Professors and Students, there included games for the audience during the half time break.

The cheerleaders decided to join the game too! Switching gears from pom poms to basketballs brought us a totally different experience to the girls, we had so much fun!

This is the first time the Cheer Team sideline cheered for a game with both teams representing the same school (professors and students). While for the sake of fairness, we decided to cheer for the students in the first half, then the professors and graduate students in the second half!
