The Cheer Team gained it's first male cheerleader (Jerome Naval) over the summer of 2018! This is a milestone for the team. We also proudly welcome another male cheerleader (Alfonso Manalo) from the 2018/19 Tryout!

Cheerleading has long fall prey to negative pervasive stereotypes about girly girls cheerleaders and cheerleading, however we are here to prove you wrong. One interesting fact - cheerleading indeed originated with men! Cheerleaders at all levels work very hard to maintain a positive attitude and a spirited environment.
Cheerleaders are athletes - we run, we lift, we condition, we stretch, we tumble, we stunt, we throw people in the air; all these requires athleticism and makes cheerleading a very dangerous sports too.
In the meanwhile, guys play a significant role in cheerleading. Not only are guy cheerleaders prominent on many squads, they're the ones responsible for creating cheerleading!
Having two male cheerleaders on the team is a milestone for the team, and we are looking forwawrd to welcoming more males to join! Stay tuned for the first routine with them being included!
